Our Spring/Summer 2024 season is sold-out!

thank you to all who signed up!

As many of you may know, we are in-between farm managers. However, we have been so excited to be able to continue our CSA by working with our wonderful farm partner, Love is Love Cooperative Farm. Read on to learn more!

What is a CSA

CSA – Community Supported Agriculture - is a member model whereby local farmers and local eaters make a dedicated commitment to one another through a shared-risk model and active engagement. Members support the whole farm through subscribing to seasonal shares. Some or all of this payment is upfront, much like a farm’s costs of production. Membership provides better planning for the farms, maximizing potential and minimizing risk and waste. The farmers work hard to provide the best, freshest, seasonal variety of produce each week and commit to building a deeper relationship with their members. Together every week, we elevate and enjoy healthy food, resilient community, and successful, viable farm systems while caring for the planet.  In addition to offering our primary CSA share of vegetables, we offer a variety of add-on shares for those looking to source milk, eggs, meat and other items from local farms.

Our Farmers from Love is Love Cooperative Farms

The Martin family (owners of Martin’s Garden) have known the Love is Love principal farmers for nearly a decade now.  During our early beginnings when we initially bought our land and were trying to figure “this whole farming thing” out, we attended our first Georgia Organics conference and met the humble and legendary Joe Reynolds, who was both the board chair and the preeminent organic CSA farmer in the Atlanta area.  In 2021, Joe and his team spread the love to include other farmers and purchased more acreage (70 acres) in Mansfield , Georgia.   We have an incredible amount of respect for Love is Love Cooperative, the quality of their vegetables and the heart and soul they bring each and every day to the world of agriculture and those they feed and care for.

What Can I Expect

Love is Love Cooperative Farm grows a wide range of delicious produce each week for our members. Now in their 16th year of CSA farming, Love is Love excels at growing with organic practices to deliver incredibly delicious vegetables that are picked at the peak of freshness and harvested within days of your pick-up. Each week, for a 15 week period beginning April 24, 2024, your CSA share includes approximately 7 items in quantities that should be appropriate for a family of four. In addition, we work with and source produce from other local farmer friends as a way to expand the CSA share offering and collaborate with other farmers.

During the 15 week session typical vegetables you might expect will include: Arugula, Asian greens, beans, carrots, chard, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, fennel, figs, green garlic, herbs, kale, lettuces, melons, okra, pac choy, potatoes, radishes, shiitake mushrooms, strawberries, summer squash, sweet basil, spicy greens mix, spring onions, sweet onions, sweet peppers, sweet potato greens, sunflower shoots, sweet turnips, and tomatoes.

ADD-ON SUBSCRIPTIONS: In addition to their wonderful vegetables, we are pleased to offer the following options for subscription add-ons:

ADDITIONAL ITEMS AVAILABLE AT PICK-UP

SESSION DATES/PICK-UP:

This CSA session runs from April 24th until July 31st. Pick-up is on Wednesdays either at the farm (410 Coleman Road, Roswell, GA) between 4:30 pm - 6 pm or at From the Earth Brewery from 5 pm - 8 pm.

CSA MEMBERSHIP COST

The season subscription cost for the 15-week Spring/Summer session is $525, which is approximately, $35 per week. Because this season is longer than we have historically been able to offer, we recognize this is more of an upfront cost than previously. If you’d prefer to spread out payments in two installments, we are now offering that option. The total cost of $600 would be split into $300 due at sign-up and the remaining $300 balance due on June 15th.
